I'm working on a fic where one of the characters has been away from home frequently for a few weeks, to the notice of his live-in boyfriend. This is supposed to be because he's working on a very special gift (my original idea had been a ring, but try as I might, I can't figure out why that would be a gone-so-often thing) for the boyfriend.
Any ideas what sort of super-special gift could require someone to be gone a lot, very mysteriously? Anything that might also make it seem more like he was cheating would also be a bonus. |

A ring could be used if he's working overtime to get extra money for the ring.
Or planing a special trip like a cruse or cross country trip that takes a lot of planing. He could be seen has a meeting with a trip planner and that could be mistaken as cheating.

Considering the couple is Soohyun and Hoon from UKISS, if Soohyun's having to work an extra job to get money, I'm seriously worried about the future of my favorite band.
However, the cruise/trip idea is definitely a possibility. I didn't think of that. Thanks!

I write AU, but never for oneshots. There's no point. The only chapter story I've got now is a supernatural AU, unless Eli really IS a vampire. You never know.

Hmmm I have to agree with kaseyslove , the trip could be feasible. Though also what about if he were making something by hand? Then he would have to come home already showered to remove any hints and that would be a huge red flag in a relationship. 0.o |

I'll have to think on that. Right now I'm still snickering about my "hung like a horse" thing on the other thread, and I really don't need to think about Soohyun making anything even remotely related to that. I write fan fiction. I know how that would turn up.

LOL I had to. >.< But hmmm... um... yeah, the trip is probably the best bet. =D As kaseyslove said, there are so many things that could go wrong with that. Smelling like another man due to the travel agent wearing too much cologne, then Hoon follows him and sees him meeting with him and thinks they're having drinks... yeah. Much better idea. =D |
