So, I've attempted once to write a fic with disjointed timelines which go between flashbacks and "present" time. I have no idea if it came out right. What style is that even? Is it a compilation of flash fiction? Grenade Fiction? Does angst have to be chaptered or lengthy one-shot pieces that really wear on your emotions? Or can they be short snippets into something that you just drop on someone then boot them out of it? I purposefully tried angst once for a competition [that I lost, predictably] and it was a three-shot that I kind of rushed through. I will link it and you all tell me what you think of it? It's in no kind of chronological order before the actual ending, but I want to know if it confuses people. Nei said it doesn't and I trust her. Just need to know if it stands for you veteran authors out here. Click 'gone' and be gooonnnne in the raging sea that is my weird writing. Gone

Not a compilation of flash fiction, merely a particular style of storytelling that has no name that I'm aware of. I've used that sort of narrative myself on more than one occasion, both of which were well received.
Angst is merely an atmosphere. In my opinion, it can be a single sentence or an entire book. Much as romance isn't usually the entire story, I don't really think that angst should be, either. If there's no contrast, you'll have less of an impact.
Without seeing it, my only thing to say is that there should be some sort of order. Readers need something to anchor them and give them a point of reference.

Nothing purely angst, no. Hmm. Let's see what I can recommend. Closest thing to angst? The one-shot I recently posted, Self-Destruct (http://www.asianfanfics.com/story/view/948727/self-destruct-angst-drama-romance-ukiss-jaevin).
Might also check out Coffee (http://www.asianfanfics.com/story/view/621485/coffee-angst-oneshot-ukiss-2seop).
The story I did that's in a similar narrative style (told in present time with flashbacks), it's called Inevitable (http://www.asianfanfics.com/story/view/442547/inevitable-angst-drama-oneshot-soohyun-ukiss-hoon-soohoon). It was written as a gift fic, and I chose that format because I felt like it was the best way to convey that particular story.

Will read and get back to you. As for the genre itself, it's as Zoni said, there has to be contrast in any story. Too much angst is too heavy, there must be reasons to the feelings shown and a speck of hope, even if it is unreachable for the character. I enjoy writing angst, and though I am by no means a veteran author, here's an example of some of the angst I really strive to do. It's by no means amazing but it is the style I look for when I want to read something to rip my heart into shreds. www.asianfanfics.com/story/view/730768
