Just curious. Digital or traditional? Here's what I'm working on tonight:  Paint Tool SAI is my baby. I love it. Sadly, it's not legal to marry it. Yet. YET. |

GORGEOUS! I go traditional, I like the feel of pencils in hand. Though if I had the tech I would totally do digital too. There are so many things that one can do with digital that can't be done with traditional.

I wish I had the money and space for traditional stuff. Years ago I had a decent work area but anymore, it's just easier to go digital. I prefer real pencils (and I like heavy ones!) but I've got nowhere to draw. Eh, because I posted it earlier. I finished my doodle, but I got very lazy.  And I hate the full picture, hence a sketchy-ass screenshot instead. |

Photoshop is life. It's all I use. I don't have anything to show with the UI, though =\ EXCUSE THE GIANTNESS....diunno if we can resize  I have not drawn in 2 years. Sorry xD This is my last one.   I haven't illustrated in forever either.  Would you look at that...but it needs to be redone. I never learned color theory so gotta do that, too.   MANIPULATIONSSSSSS~!!! Jaejoong and a throw-together I did myself. |

Gorgeous blending! I'm envious! If you need help with software, I can probably help you out. I'm quite familiar with Photoshop, Painter and SAI.

I figured I'd post a little more. I usually use SAI (it's easy as hell to sketch in and far less of a pretty princess than PS, and I need the stroke control since I have partial hand paralysis and can't draw a straight line to save my life), but I usually use PS, too, when coloring.   I'm actually kind of curious as to how you do your blending, Qimbra. This is an old-as-hell image (years and years, uh. please excuse the shittiness.), but I still usually do my shading and blending like this:  |

I'm just forever artistically awkward. I can't draw a straight line to draw a straight line much less save ANYONE. It took six years of giving up for me to learn how to blend. I did a half-arsed text tutorial on it if you want it. I should learn to use SAI tbh, and be versatile in that aspect. and Corel. I tried Corel before and I just couldn't make my brain take in all the new information.

If you'd like, I could hand you SAI and show you how to use. *shrug* And yes, tutorial would be awesome. Painter I used to love, and I have the most AMAZING blending technique for it... but the recent versions (I have Painter 2015 installed, but I think I've used it... twice?) have been ridiculously laggy and had insane processing times for no reason I could find, and I can't seem to fix it. SAI can do most of what Painter can, more easily and with less issues, so I just stick with SAI and PS. I use PS more for photo-manips (like my unfortunate Tumblr header) than anything, though. I like SAI's tools and their selection tool saves my sanity. PS's magic wand is... made of madness and designed to piss people off, as far as I can tell.

I don't select anymore if the lines aren't on point. I just color as best as i can and mask it to clean it up
