I don't know about this. There's often a fine line between best and worst. Hmm. Debated pulling from all my fan fiction, but I think I'll just go with what I have on AFF. Mostly.
Worst FUNNY moment
(from "Inevitable")
Panting, sweating and hot, Soohyun's mind was swimming. The only thing he could think about was the heat of Hoon's chest against his and the sounds of their breaths as the make-out session heated up. Letting out a whine, he pushed his head further back against the cushions of the couch, giving Hoon more skin to devour. The other man nibbled, sucked and kissed his way across the tanned flesh.
Struggling against the cushions, Soohyun shrugged the sleeve of his shirt off the rest of the way. Finally, their clothing count was down to pants only. Things felt so much better when it was just skin, when friction and the sound of Hoon's voice were everything.
Soohyun wanted more. He needed to lose himself completely in the other man. His hands slid down Hoon's body, tickling along lines of thick muscles and sweat as he reached down to grab his ass. Squeezing the muscle in his hands, he delighted in the moan that left Hoon's lips.
"God, H--"
Click.
Soohyun's hand stopped dead on its way to undoing the button of Hoon's jeans. Together, both men swiveled their heads to look at the front door. It was too early. Nobody was supposed to be home for hours. And yet, there, standing in the doorway, was Eli. Wide-eyed and mouth hanging open, he was getting the show of a lifetime. Standing stock-still, he had a front row view of the action taking place on the dorm couch.
No one moved. Then, the realization of what had happened must have struck home for Hoon. Even before his thoughts had cleared, Soohyun could feel him moving as he tried to straighten their clothing. A shirt was grabbed off the back of the couch as the vocalist sat up, coughing loudly and reaching down to fix his own trousers.
"We were just... and we fell over and--" Soohyun stammered, fishing for some sort of excuse that could be used to cover for what they had been doing.
The action came too late. Eli held up a hand, halfway signaling a hello and halfway blocking the two of them from view. Walking quickly, he vanished down the hallway. Even from the living room, Soohyun could hear the loud click of the door as it closed behind him.
"Shit." Soohyun scrambled to get to his feet. Tripping over his shirt on the floor, he fell into the wall. Not bothering to care, he reached down and tried to tug up the zipper on his pants as he stumbled down the hallway, wondering just how many telling hickeys Hoon had left on his chest and neck. He prayed Eli wouldn't notice. Or that, if he did, he'd think they were burns from a hair straightener or something.
Stumbling down the hallway, Soohyun fastened the two buttons on his jeans. Finishing the last one, he pounded on the door of the room that Eli shared with AJ. "Eli, it's not what it looks like. Open up."
"I don't want to think about what it looks like," Eli shouted, the words muffled by the wood.
"Just open the damn door."
Soohyun sighed, sagging against the door frame. Panic and a muted fear of consequences unknown were making his joints ache. This was a disaster. They should never have stayed in the living room. They shouldn't have even been out there in the first place. What was he supposed to say. If Eli decided to tell management, or even the other members, there would be hell to pay.
The door in front of him creaked open, the movement drawing his gaze. From the inch-wide gap, Eli looked out at him. He was blushing brightly. "What?"
There was no point in lying anymore. From experience, Soohyun knew that trying to mislead his friends would only make the situation worse. All the excuses he had given earlier were pointless. Taking a deep breath, he decided to try the best approach he knew.
"Look, sorry, we... weren't expecting anyone," Soohyun said, trying to meet Eli's eyes and failing miserably. Instead, he took to staring at a lamp in the corner of the room, barely visible through the doorway. "Hoon and I are--"
Once more, Eli held up his hand. This time it was clearly intended to stop Soohyun in the middle of his explanation. Still blushing, Eli stared at the door, avoiding his gaze, as well. "Don't worry about it."
"What?"
"I said don't worry about it," Eli repeated, clearly embarrassed. "Kind of already guessed..."
Soohyun blinked. "You're... okay with it?"
For once, Eli met his gaze. "Why wouldn't I be?"
"Well..." Pausing, Soohyun could not see why this was so hard for Eli to figure out. "We're gay."
"Yeah, I kind of figured that one out for myself."
"Oh."
"So," Eli said tentatively, biting his lip, "does that mean Kevin and I are okay, then?"
The words took a moment to register. They were overshadowed by the elation Soohyun felt at knowing that he didn't have to worry about their accidental discovery. As soon as they sank in, Soohyun took a step back. His worry turned to irritation.
The leader once more, Soohyun promptly started flailing his hands at the rapper. "Wait, what do you mean? Seriously? You should have told me!"
(Humor is really, really not my thing.)
Worst SAD moment
I actually can't think of one. Not for K-pop actually. In one of my old Inuyasha stories, however, I killed off all of the characters four times. We won't talk about that. The closest you'll find is this, from The Gift Giver (collab with my lovely fiancée):
From the corner of the room, unnoticed by the rest of the group, Eli watched Kevin cautiously. Seeing the slim singer with AJ was a mixed bag of emotions for him. He loved being able to see both of his friends happy, but this time, he wondered if the cost was worth it.
“Are you sure you did the right thing?” he asked quietly, taking in Kevin’s hand on AJ’s arm, AJ’s body angled toward him and Kevin not stepping back, for once. “You should tell him, you know. He’d want to know.”
Kiseop shook his head. “I did the right thing. He doesn’t need to know.” He glanced over at Kevin and AJ himself, and the smile on his face at the sight was small, but it was real. Eli knew him well enough to tell that much.
Eli wanted to disagree with him, but all it took was following Kiseop’s line of sight to Kevin and he knew that Kiseop had a point. Kevin didn’t need to know the truth, and just them it might ruin the perfect moment. For the past few days - the first time in a long time - Kevin was happy and smiling, and with AJ it might stay that way. Both Eli and Kiseop wanted that, but Eli still thought that maybe it was all a bit much.
“You’re really happy with this?” Eli pressed, shifting uneasily and shoving his hands into his pockets.
“I am,” Kiseop confirmed, and the way he looked at Eli told him everything he needed to know. “Kevin will be happy now, too. That’s what matters.”
Eli raised an eyebrow. He scoffed. “Why?”
“Because I love him."
Worst ACTION sequence
From a story I took down, Protect Me. My first chapter story for UKISS, which still doesn't excuse the fact that I had Kiseop kidnap Kevin. And stab AJ. We'll also not talk about that.
Worst LOVE CONFESSION
(From "Thunderstorms")
"Kiseop, what are you doing?"
"Is it okay like this?" he asks in response. "Is it okay if it's me?"
What little relaxation I had managed leaves in a hurry as the pieces fall into place. Now I understand all those quiet looks, what he had wanted to say to me a few minutes ago. Maybe not in detail, but this is more than enough for me to get the general idea. I guess I wasn’t the only one wondering why it wasn't him. My entire body goes stiff as I glance down at him, unable to stop my hand from tightening around his waist. Surely he can't be serious.
"What are you talking about?"
As soon as the question leaves my lips, I know that it doesn't sound nearly as casual as I want it to. My thoughts from a few minutes ago float back to the surface. What am I supposed to do in a situation like this? I have no clue. I never thought I'd be having this conversation with Kiseop.
He isn't fooled by my attempt at playing dumb. The uncertainty in his eyes turns to resolve and he starts to lean up towards me, fingers tightening in the thin fabric of my t-shirt. He doesn't have to answer my question; he intends on showing me, instead.
Worst SMUT story (do not paste the passage here! Post a LINK if you want)
My worst smut story ever was titled Band-Aid Solutions. Blessedly, it's no longer online, so instead, I'll have to say Empty. It was a request, I hate writing requests, and I've never been able to write SooLi. It's over here:
www.asianfanfics.com/story/view/640802/empty-angst-sooli-ukiss Empty's probably tied with Lessons in Saving Space (a UKISS OT7) for awful. Lessons isn't available anymore, either, for painfully obvious reasons. It involved the line "[Kiseop] was hung like a horse. A very small horse, but a horse nonetheless."
(There will be some adult content in my answers from here down. Deal with it.)
Best FUNNY moment
(NSFW!)
The room was clean enough, but spotting Eli's bed was still easy. The small collection of Red Bull cans made it painfully obvious. Sitting on a small luggage stand beside the bed, Eli's big, black suitcase was neatly closed. As innocent as it looked, Kevin dreaded what lurked within.
He unzipped the suitcase and found a pleasant surprise; most of Eli's things were neatly organized, and he didn't have to rifle through a pile of miscellaneous laundry and personal belongings to find the bag Eli had indicated. However, the bag wasn't what Kevin expected. He figured that it would be something small, like a shaving kit. Discreet. He knew Eli owned stuff like that, for reasons Kevin would never disclose to the unwitting public, but they were on the road. Surely Eli wouldn't pack a small duffle worth of adult novelties when trunk space was at a premium. Really, didn't most guys just keep condoms? If lube was there, too, that was still just two things.
To Kevin's relief, it wasn't a duffle. Unfortunately, it was a disturbingly sturdy canvas tote, dyed black. He didn't want to remove it from the suitcase. Instead, he shifted the back and tried not to notice how heavy it was. Finally, he found the zipper and opened it. A quick glance inside held a disheartening truth: he would have to start an excavation. He began by removing the topmost object: a suspiciously stained copy of Fifty Shades of Grey with half the cover missing.
"Oh, gross. Why..." Kevin set the book to the side and peered inside the bag. He couldn't tell what else was inside even with the book removed. Sincerely wishing he'd picked up a pair of rubber gloves before doing so, Kevin decided that the easiest way to find the bottle of lube would be to empty the bag out into the suitcase. Eli could deal with cleaning up the mess, and Kevin wouldn't wind up running the risk of touching something he really wished he hadn't. That in mind, he up-ended the tote.
The first thing that fell out was a set of two cardboard boxes. Condoms. One box was labeled magnum, the other regular. Kevin decided to ignore his discovery. He really didn't need to know why Eli had two different sizes of condoms, especially not when he was sharing the room with Hoon.
Shaking the bag, Kevin felt the bulk of the weight inside shift. The rest of the contents came out in an avalanche of plastic, rubber and fuzzy handcuffs. A red, lace thong landed on top like some sort of horrifying cherry on a sundae. Kevin could see the bottle of lube. All three of them, none of which was more than half full. All but one of them were seated under what he identified as a massive, realistic dildo.
Kevin stared in horror at the mess. There was no other reaction he could give because, really, what were you supposed to say when you discovered something like that in the friend-you've-had-a-crush-on-since-you-were-who-knows-how-old-but-have-never-gotten-anywhere-with's suitcase?
Deciding that he would find some way, anyway, to forget what he had seen, Kevin grabbed the only bottle of lube that wasn't completely covered in artificial penis and balls. The pile of miscellany shifted. The dildo began to vibrate. Kevin slammed the suitcase shut and ran.
Best SAD moment
I'm going to list an entire story. Coffee.
www.asianfanfics.com/story/view/621485/Best ACTION sequence
(Wrote better action sequences when I was an anime fan author, fml.)
Congratulating himself on finding his target so easily, Eli took a few steps towards the car and froze. An unexpected sound cut through the night: a scream. That wasn't enough to catch his attention, but the voice certainly was; high pitched and nasal, absolutely unmistakable. Jolting, he turned towards the sound. Just as quickly as it had begun, the scream cut off. Eli ran.
Brick walls and fractured pavement made for a labyrinth of noise. The scream was further away than Eli had thought, taking nearly a full minute of dashing through alleys before he broke out from behind a dumpster, staring blankly at the side of a building. A back door hung open. The wall and exit barely registered; he was far too focused on the scene in front of him. Kevin was there, pinned against a wall and struggling desperately. He kicked and struck out, but Eli could barely make out the actions through the body of the massive brute pushing him against the bricks. Heavy breaths and Kevin's muffled shouts drowned out the city sounds rumbling on nearby streets. Eli took half a second to gauge the situation. Then, he lunged.
Crunch.
Bone gave way under Eli's fist as he grabbed the thug's arm, spinning him around. The man screamed, brandishing a large knife as he turned. "What the fuck?!"
Dodging, Eli felt the sharp bite of metal as the blade nicked his throat. The sensation barely registered. Turning, he tightened his grip on the man's arm and slammed him face-first into the brick wall. With that easy motion, the problem had been solved. Stone flakes and dirt rained down from above, but Eli simply pulled away and turned his attention back to Kevin.
Best LOVE CONFESSION
(I actually don't have many love confessions in my stories. Huh.)
As cheesy as the thought is, it feels like we were made to fit together like this. Amazing. That's what all of this is. This is intimate in a way that I've never really felt before, like every part of me is open for him to see. Like there are no secrets. Nothing has ever been this personal for me. Not a relationship, not sex, not a single damn thing. If my mind weren't swimming in sleepy thoughts and euphoria, I'm sure I'd be telling him that every way I know how.
"I love you."
Kevin's voice is soft, and his words come out of nowhere. They seem to fill up the entire room, taking up all the air. My breath catches in my chest as I hear them. Those three simple words are heartfelt and sincere, and they're so much heavier than they should be. He doesn't sound happy saying it. It's more of an admission than some sort of pledge to me, like it's a secret that he has been hiding. Even that last night before he left Korea, we never talked specifics about how we felt. I guess I really didn't say my half of things, but he never said it, either. This is another first. There are so many of them tonight.
"Kevin," I breathe, holding him a little tighter. My heart is aching all over again and in the very best way.
"I love you," he says again. He pauses for half a second, as though he's testing the way that the words feel on his tongue. Taking another breath, he adds quietly, "and I have for... a long time."
